The moon appears in a dark land. A land of nightmares and dreams, where luminous fantasies and arcane mysteries appear in the shadows.
A terrifying, alluring place; one that poets, artists, musicians and madmen know well.
Like the lunar cycles affecting the tides, the push and pull of the moon can represent both the psychosis of the lunatic and the inspiration of the genius.
At it’s darkest, the moon brings whirlwind emotions, madness, fatalism and addiction. At it’s brightest, astonishing creativity, uninhibited magick and psychic illusions.
Number eighteen in the Tarot deck, the Moon card symbolises fear; fear of the dark, fear of the unknown and fear that we will be found to be weak and unlovable.
But with courage we can voyage deep within ourselves, reveal our secrets, surrender to our inspiration and transform all we see and feel into something beautiful.
